Discover the serene Ieriķi Watermill Park, located at km 72 on the Vidzeme Highway between Sigulda and Cēsis. Explore mystical waterfalls, family heritage, and witness salmon leaping at one of Latvia’s tallest waterfalls.

Nestled between Sigulda and Cēsis, at the 72nd kilometre of the Vidzeme Highway from Riga, Ieriķi Watermill Park offers a peaceful retreat blending natural wonders and rich family history. The park boasts several waterfalls, including the third highest in Latvia, where visitors can watch salmon navigate the cascade during autumn spawning season when temperatures hover around +6°C.

Dating back over 350 years, the historic Ieriķi Watermill was first documented in 1681 as part of the Ieriķi manor estate. In 1924, it was acquired by Jorģis Ziemelis, whose descendants continue to manage the site. The park proudly features one of the Baltic’s largest waterwheels, named after its founding owner.
