Kaķupīte Nature trail
This medium-difficulty loop trail stretches 800 metres through gentle woodland and open meadow, with a natural forest floor underfoot.
Starting near Kaķukrogs, the path leads to the Kaķupīte stream culvert, then winds along its right bank and past the Kaķupīte open-air stage, eventually circling back through a wildflower meadow to where the walk began.
Along the way, discover a charming wooden sculpture park featuring beloved animals from Latvian folk tales—bear, fox, hedgehog, wolf and owl await your visit. You’ll also find a freely accessible outdoor book cabinet for exchanging books, adding a dash of literary magic to your forest experience.
For restful moments or a scenic picnic, several log-built tables with benches and shelter offer the perfect pause amidst nature.
