Begin your ride in the heart of Zaube, treating yourself to a well-earned ice cream at the local shop. Just a few hundred metres ahead, discover the medieval ruins of Zaube Castle, framed by a quaint walkway and dramatic gate.
The trail leads out past a peaceful pond, winding through scenic country roads and rolling landscapes once admired by artist Vilhelms Purvītis. Forest paths form a figure-of-eight loop, guiding you back to town via the inviting Lakstīgalu Street.
As you return to Zaube, the proud 300-year-old oak on the shores of Lake Lejas stands sentinel. Here, a well-maintained swimming spot offers refreshing relief and—why not—a second celebratory scoop of ice cream!
