Botanical Trail

The Botanical Trail at the Līgatne Nature Trails offers visitors the opportunity to explore the diversity of Latvia’s wild plants in their natural habitat. Information panels along the route introduce visitors to various plant species, including the evergreen hawkweed, four-leaved snake’s head, and common milkwort, and provide information on their distribution, growing conditions, and uses.
The trail leads through the forest to the banks of the Gauja River, where rest areas have been set up and a picturesque view of Gauja National Park and the impressive Gūdu Cliffs unfolds. The route then returns to the forest and ends at the road, forming a circular walk.
The nearest place to park your car is the paid parking lot at the Līgatne Nature Trails.
