Bicycle Museum in Līgatne
Explore Latvia’s golden era of cycling at the Bicycle Museum. Discover locally made bicycles and intricate vintage components—bells, lamps, saddles, medals—many over 100 years old. You’ll be amazed at the beauty in craftsmanship and design from a bygone era.
The museum collection includes:
- Historic Latvian-made bicycles
- Rare catalogues, films, awards, and parts
- A tribute to Latvia’s cycling champions and traditions
Opening hours:
From Easter to Mārtiņi (early April to early November).
Easter – May: open on weekends from 11:00 to 18:00.
June – Mārtiņi: open every day from 11:00 to 18:00, except Mondays.
Entry: €6 for adults; children free with parents.
School groups welcome! The museum is part of the “Latvijas skolas soma” education programme.

The Bicycle Museum works closely with E-pedal Bike Rental at the Velogarage, which offers bicycle rentals for a more active visit to Līgatne.
