Creative House MEMBERI
Visitors to “Memberi” are invited into the creative world of artist Ērika Māldere, the annual art project DABA RADA, and designer Aigars Lenkevičs, whose Lamp Design Studio specialises in custom-made lamps and light sculptures.
Available by Prior Booking:
- Lamp-making masterclass (3–6 hrs)
- Paper casting, calligraphy & printmaking workshop (1–2 hrs)
- Botanical drawing and painting (1–3 hrs)
- Tea with readings from Dzērbenes Vectēva stāsti and colouring activities
- Sketching walk (2 hrs) along sites painted by artist Carl Gotthard Grass (1767–1814)
- Rest stop with tea and conversation for cyclists, hikers, and skiers travelling the Green Railway Route
Workshops are suited for adults and youth; children are welcome with parents. Group sizes: 3–15 people. All materials provided on site. Fee: €5/hour + material costs.
Easy access: paved road to the doorstep, picnic area, nearby shop.
Larger groups can split to simultaneously visit Dzērbene Castle, the church, ancient hillfort, or local swimming spot.
