Observation tower "Zaļais tornis"
At the summit of Cīruļkalns stands the “Zaļais tornis” (Green Tower), a modern, 22-metre-high nature observation platform equipped with smart technology and open to all residents and guests of the Cēsis region.
The tower’s roof is fitted with solar panels that generate electricity for lighting the handrails in the evening and powering the nature observation cameras installed at the top. Built from metal and clad with decorative wood, the structure seamlessly blends technology and natural aesthetics.
Cīruļkalns was chosen for its elevation—one of the highest points on this side of the Gauja River—offering panoramic views over Cēsis town and the Gauja Valley landscape.
