Ski and Biathlon Centre "Cēsis"
Nestled in the scenic coniferous forests of Cēsis, the city’s Skiing and Biathlon Centre offers trails of varying difficulty on both artificial and natural snow. Designed for both classical and freestyle cross-country skiing, the terrain features steep climbs and descents, providing thrills for seasoned athletes as well as newcomers.
The trails are well-lit, allowing for skiing even after sunset. The centre is frequently used by professional athletes, and regularly hosts competitions at various levels.
The biathlon shooting range is licensed for categories B and C, accommodating rifled barrels over distances of 10, 25, and 50 metres.
During the summer season, the centre transforms into an active sports haven:
- 3 km asphalt track for roller skiing
- Two Nordic walking trails spanning 6 km
- MTB cycling track for mountain biking enthusiasts
In winter, ski rental is available for visitors looking to explore the frosty beauty of Cēsis on skis.
