Piebalga Porcelain Factory
Founded by artist Jānis Ronis, the Piebalga Porcelain Factory is Latvia’s only porcelain production facility and a proud symbol of the Piebalga region.
Originally established as a porcelain art gallery in Old Riga, with studios in Kalnciema Street and Majori Cultural Centre, the journey evolved into full-scale production in 2007 when porcelain crafting began in the former Vecpiebalga dairy building.
Today, the small factory has grown into a thriving business under the brand “Piebalgas Porcelāna Fabrika”, known for its unique, handmade porcelain pieces. Each item – from fine tableware to souvenirs and artistic gifts – is crafted with care and precision, drawing attention from both local and international markets.
Visitors are warmly invited to tour the factory, learn about the delicate porcelain-making process, and even try their hand at porcelain painting.
