Everyone is warmly welcomed at “Maizes Māja” – a living farmhouse museum where bread is baked with heart, tradition, and freedom. Located in Liepa parish, just 10 km from Cēsis (towards Valmiera), this 100-year-old homestead invites guests to experience the full journey “from grain to bread” in a lovingly restored rural setting.
What to Expect
- Hands-on baking workshops for traditional Latvian rye bread, sweet-sour bread, “karash” flatbread, festive pies, and buns
- Farm-to-table lunches & dinners served in a historic barn, featuring seasonal produce grown onsite
