Day 1
Start your leisurely holiday in the fresh air with a visit to the Net Adventure Park (Tīklu parks). Located high among the trees, it offers active fun and excitement for both children and adults.
After an active afternoon, enjoy a delicious meal at the nearby Zeit Café. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, Zeit also hosts various concerts and cultural events on weekend evenings. You can explore their upcoming event program here.

Day 2
Start your morning in Līgatne with a delicious breakfast, then head to the Bicycle Museum to discover the stories of Latvian cycling history. The museum’s owner, a passionate storyteller, will reveal how Latvia became a bicycle manufacturing powerhouse and how our cycling culture first began.
After your tour, head towards Cēsis, but take the scenic route this time. Cross the Skaļupes river and visit the highest Devonian rock outcrop in Latvia, standing at 43 meters. Here, embraced by the Amata river, shine the magnificent Ķūķu Cliffs. The area features a well-maintained picnic spot, so a thermos of tea and some snacks will be perfect for a family lunch break.

A highlight for everyone! Head to Rakši Zoo to meet lemurs, camels, llamas, and other friendly residents. You can get up close and feed them –don’t be surprised if a curious llama decides to follow you! Plan for at least two hours here, as time tends to fly.
After your animal encounter, enjoy a meal at the onsite café or visit Korean BBQ King Julian. This unique restaurant offers authentic Korean-style dining where you can grill your own meal on an open tabletop grill right at your table.
End your evening with a stroll through the charming streets of Cēsis Old Town. Wander through Castle Park and May Park, visit a local café or cultural space, and wrap up the day sharing stories of your adventures.

Day 3
We invite you to enjoy breakfast at one of the charming cafés in Cēsis Old Town, where local entrepreneurs will treat you to delicious morning dishes and homemade cakes. Before heading home, stop by the quaint Old Town boutiques to discover unique creations by local artisans – the perfect way to take a piece of the Cēsis region’s magic with you.
On your way home, we invite you to stop by the Slow Food Straupe Market. This unique market brings together local farmers, artisans, and chefs to promote the Slow Food philosophy in Latvia. Held on the first and third Sunday of every month, it’s the perfect place to pick up beautiful and delicious local treats.
Right next door, take a moment to admire the stunning Lielstraupe Castle – the heart of the smallest Hanseatic city in the world!
