There are no paid parking zones in Cēsis, but many parking areas have time limits indicating how long a car may be parked in a particular spot.
Parking discs
To comply with regulations, it is important to place a parking disc (see image) in your car’s windscreen, showing the time you parked. If you don’t have one, parking discs can be purchased at local shops or the Cēsis Tourist Information Centre.
If no shops are available nearby, you may write your arrival time on a piece of paper and place it clearly on the car’s dashboard.

Often, you’ll see additional signs below the parking symbol indicating that only those with specific permits may park, or in other cases, that parking is restricted to visitors or staff of a particular institution, etc.
