ZELTA KROGS ski trails

Glide through snowy hilltops and winding meadows in the enchanting region of Piebalga, home to five carefully prepared cross-country ski trails spanning a total of 40 km! From classic and skate-style to adventurous backcountry routes, there’s something for every type of skier. Equipment rental is available upon prior arrangement.

The trails connect to Vanagkalns and Krepšēni, forming a ski network of over 50 km—a truly unique feature in Latvia. No need to travel to Lapland: winter magic awaits right here in Piebalga.

Trail usage is donation-based:

• Minimum: €5 per skier – to cover maintenance

• BRICI–VĒVERI BACKCOUNTRY: 8.5 km (classic) – A backcountry adventure to the unique Vēveri Open-Air Museum via the Brici and Draugoļi lakes
